(From Ferry Funeral Home)Lloyd Pat Chastain, 75, Nevada, MO passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Lloyd was born December 18, 1947 in Miller, MO to Earl R. and Dovie R. (Patton) Chastain.
He was married to Rose Marie Pennington on November 28, 1968, in Mount Vernon, MO and she preceded him in death on February 15, 2011.
Lloyd was raised in Miller and attended school there. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War while stationed in Vietnam.

Following the service, he worked in Kansas City at Rose Hill Nursery Gardens for a time before coming to Nevada where he work for Norman Sheet Metal from 1972 until 2008.
Lloyd had a love of Corvettes, and also enjoyed fishing, and hunting. He was very family oriented. Lloyd especially loved spending time with his family and was always eager to help when there was a need.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Chastain, of the home in Nevada, and Earl Chastain, Nevada; four sisters, Lucille Stoner, Monroe, NC, Wilma Fields, Mount Vernon, MO, Berniece Linder, Joplin, MO, and Kathryn Ricketts and her husband Brent, Mt. Vernon, MO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Rose, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Anderson, Linda Hill, and Arlene Huse; and an infant brother, Larry.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Bro. Jerry Pyle officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
