(From Parker Mortuary)Juanita Marie McDaniel, age 91, Joplin, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Juanita was born June 19, 1931 in Joplin, one of eleven children, and grew up living in several locations. She worked for years as a waitress where she met the love of her life, J. Paul McDaniel, and the couple were wed. The couple moved to Joplin where she worked for several years with Chicken Annie’s as a cook. She enjoyed her time with Paul very much, and was very sad when he preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by nine of her siblings.
Survivors include her sons, David McDaniel and wife Linda of Joplin, and Robert Helms and wife Myra; grandchildren, Jennifer Richards and Jonathan McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Gage Irwin, Blake Irwin, and Skylar McDaniel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with private services to be held at a later date at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
