Mary Finney

Mary Anna Finney, age 80, of Neosho, Missouri, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:27 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was born August 30, 1942, to Clifford and Emmaline (Cargile) Stephens in Stella, Missouri, one of ten children. 

Mary was united in marriage to Bob Green on April 15, 1966. He preceded her in death in February 1984. Together they had two sons, Clifford and Jeffrey Green. November 1, 1997, she married Charles Finney in Neosho, and through this marriage, she gained three children, Chari, Cal and Lisa.

Mary was a 1960 graduate of Pineville High School and attended Crowder College for accounting. She worked for Hudson Foods, Living Word, Teen Challenge, and Crosslines Ministries in Neosho. Mary was an active member of the New Life Fellowship and dedicated her time to the church and Crosslines food ministries. She was a talented seamstress and loved blessing others with her beautiful hand-made quilts. Mary loved the Lord and her beloved family.

She is survived by her husband, Charles “Charley” Finney of Neosho; two sons, Clifford (Dawn) Green of Mayfield, Kentucky, and Jeffrey (Tonya) Green of Birmingham, Alabama; her three bonus children, Chari Wheeler of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Calvin (Tammy) Finney of Bolivar, and Lisa Finney of Osceola, Missouri; three brothers, Leroy, Joe and Robert Stephens; one sister, Irene Williams; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her former husband, her brothers, Junior, Paul, Bob and Larry Stephens, and sister, Maxine Luellen, two grandsons, Zane and Joseph, and one great-granddaughter, Reme James, also preceded her in death.
