Barbara Leeper

Barbara Lee Leeper passed away, Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 91.

Barbara was a lifelong resident of Missouri, having been born and brought up in the Dadeville/Aldrich area. She attended school at Dadeville. 

Barbara and her husband Howard moved to Kansas City to find work, where she worked for Sears for over 35 years until her retirement. Howard worked at and retired from the Folger Coffee Company, and he preceded her in death in 1982. Howard and Barbara had two sons.








She is survived by her son Jess Leroy Leeper and his wife Maxine, and her son Charles Eldon Leeper. Jess and Maxine have nine children: Jess Aaron, Kevin (wife Sierra), Chris (wife April), Erica (husband Joshua), Toby, Michael (wife Samantha), Lacie, and Leandra (husband Amario). Charles has one son Charles Patrick Leeper. Barbara’s grandchildren have given 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, great nephews and great-nieces are also among her surviving family members.

Barbara was also preceded in death by Dad Eldon Crane and Mother Naomi Crane and her two brothers and two sisters, as well as by several in-laws. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Nell Crane of Shreveport, Louisiana and Dorotha Myers of Raytown, Missouri.








Barbara loved to travel and went on several trips with family and/or friends to Hawaii, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Nashville, Las Vegas, and numerous other venues and historical places.

Visitation will be 10:00AM until noon, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Graveside services will be 12:30PM, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Grove, MO

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Heart & Lung Association of America or Alzheimer’s Association and may be left at the funeral home.
