Ray Moore

Gaither Ray Moore, age 65, of Fairview, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Son of Gaither Charles and Robbie Lou (Cotton) Moore, Ray was born on September 30, 1957, in Smyrna, Tennessee. On November 16, 2013, he was united in marriage to Maria Rodas; she survives.

A hard worker, Ray spent his life working on oil rigs and as a carpenter. Ray enjoyed farming and was particularly fond of horses and cows. Ray was a good man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Maria Moore, Ray is survived by three children, Virginia Young, of Rogers, Arkansas, Cecilia Moore and Cheyenne Moore, both of Fairview, Missouri; two stepsons, Fernando Rodas of Virginia and Felix Rodas, of Fairview, Missouri; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Robbie Lou Cotton, of Billings, Montana; and eight siblings, Juanita Nitz, and her husband Bill, Chris Moore, and his wife Maria, Kevin Moore, Amanda Diaz, and her husband David, Shawna Ramires, Jamie Shirley, Stacy Jones, and her husband Jeff, Scot Moore, and his wife Tracy.

Ray was preceded in death by one son, Luke Moore; his father, Gaither Charles Moore; and one brother, Gary Moore.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, White Funeral Home of Cassville, with the Reverend Hilberto Hawkins officiating.
