(From Parker Mortuary)Donald “Don” Francis Wyzik, age 77, of Carl Junction, passed away on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 at his home.
Don was born June 21st, 1945 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late union of Emmanuel and Sophie (Opatkiewicz) Wyzik. He was born and raised in Massachusetts, then moved to Greenfield, MO, in 1977 to start his career at Empire District Electric. In 1988, he moved to Carl Junction.
He served in Massachusetts in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War for 6 years as a Staff Sergeant. Later on, he retired as a Master Sergeant in the Air Force Reserve. Don loved golfing, fishing, traveling, and being a judge at the Kansas City BBQ Society events. He also enjoyed referring High School Football games. Don worked for about a year in Massachusetts at Smith and Wesson and the Milton Bradley Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Wyzik-Baptista.

Don is survived by his two children, Bethany Roberts and husband, Danny and Craig Wyzik and wife, Kristi; four grandchildren, Cameron Shember, Haley Moore and husband, Zane, Simon Wyzik, and Seth Wyzik; and two siblings, Gloria Packard and husband, Albert, of Springfield, MA and Michael Wyzik and wife, Veronica, of Westfield, MA.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary.
