Jane Janelle Scott Ball, a lifelong resident of the Everton area, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Lockwood. She was born September 28, 1938 in Greenfield, MO. Jane married Marvin Ball on April 14, 1962 and together they raised three children.
Jane’s family and friends remember her lovingly for her unending energy, strength and determination, her big smile and her quick giggle. She was a creative and artistically gifted and could be, at times, a bit feisty.
Throughout their lives, Jane and Marvin were farmers, livestock breeders and entrepreneurs. Jane could grow anything and loved spending time in her greenhouses and with the many pups she raised as a breeder of English bulldogs and dachshunds.
Jane is proceeded in death by her husband, Marvin; her beloved son Jason; her mother, Cressie Morain; and her brother, Paul K Mead.
She is survived by her daughter; Paula Conduff (Randy) of Collins, son Scott of Greenfield; her grandchildren, Melissa Ball (Allen Jones) and her daughter, Lakin Steeley; Amanda McGuire (Josiah) and their children, Konnor, Kennedi, Karlee, Noel Whistance (Laci); Tyler Ball (Mary) and their son, Lincoln; and Allison Brown (Logan) and their son, Jase; her nieces Lynn Cowan and Katy May (Carl), cousin John Short (Maureen); as well as many life-long friends and extended family.
Jane’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood and to her physician, Dr. Beverly Holmes, for their excellent and attentive care. We are deeply grateful.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Hampton Church cemetery near Everton, MO.
The family requests that those wishing to send an expression of sympathy consider making a donation to the Hampton Church Cemetery or the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
