(From Parker Mortuary)Jennifer LeAnn "Fer Fer" Henson, age 38 of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
Jennifer was born on March 12, 1984, in Joplin to Geneva (Rickey) Arnold and Ricky Henson.
From a young age Jennifer had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed everything from camping to hunting arrowheads. As a child she grew up on a farm, learning the ways to care for animals and farm equipment.
From there, Jennifer learned the ways of being able to fix anything from vehicles to small construction projects. She was a gifted poet, having some of her pieces published at one time. Jennifer was the happiest when she was with her children and family.
Jennifer put her family first, often above herself. Being a mother was her greatest joy. Her smile and laughter were infectious, and her bubbly personality could fill the darkest of rooms. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her mother, Geneva Arnold, and her husband, Patrick, of Joplin; her father, Rick Henson, of Baxter Springs; her children, Danica Michelle Woolever, and twins, Amelia Jo W oolever, and Eden Brook Woolever, all of Joplin; brother, Rick Henson, of Moran, KS; a sister, Amber Busby, and her husband, Tim, of Pittsburg; her maternal grandmother, Lucille O’Banion, of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews. Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank Rickey, and Cecil and Eva Henson.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 5:00 PM at Parker Mortuary with visitation to follow until 7:00 PM. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
