(From Parker Mortuary)Judy Irene Burns, age 74, Diamond, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at her home with family at her side.
Judy was born August 30, 1948 in Oark, Arkansas, daughter of the late George Stewart and Susie (Mayfield) Stewart. She was the 10th of eleven children born to George and Susie, and grew up in Oark.
She married Bill Burns on December 29, 1973, and they spent their careers as over the road truck drivers. They worked for R & R Trucking for years where they delivered to Military Bases all over the United States. They retired in 2014 and moved to Florida.
She moved to Diamond in 2020 after the death of her husband, Bill Burns, who passed on July 10, 2020. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed all those years traveling with her husband Bill throughout the United States.
In addition to her parents, and her husband Bill, Judy was preceded in death by brothers, George and Bobby Stewart; sisters, Faye Easley, Maudie Acord, Eula Hill, Mary Russell, Wilma Adams, and Vickie Mitchell.

Survivors include her son, Ray Burns and wife Melissa of Diamond; daughter, Tohnya Davis and husband Dennis of Salina, Kansas; grandchildren, Anthon Lopez and Anna Lopez; great-grandchildren, Matthew Lopez and Olivia Lopez all of Independence, Missouri; sisters, Ruby Morris of California, and Linna Cravens and husband Joe of Clarksville, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
