Frank Shuster

(From Knell Mortuary)

Frank Paul Shuster Jr., 75, Olympia, Washington, formerly of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on October 29, 2023. Born on February 17, 1948, the son of Frank Paul Shuster, Sr., and Mildred (Dilworth) Shuster. He was a veteran serving his country with the United States Navy.

He married Angie Shuster on January 1, 2001; she preceded him in death on August 17, 2021.

Frank is survived by his children, Sean Shuster and Cheri Shuster Downing; stepchildren, Rob Bryant (Carrie) and Tina Guillen (Lawrent), whom he considered his own. He was a cherished brother to M. Charlotte Wiley and Helen Ivey. Frank was an adored grandfather to Micheal, Rebecca, Ryen, and Ashton, and a doting great-grandfather to Selene, Tristah, Hayden, Leonidas, Lenore, Hadley, Rilynn, and Adilynn.

Frank was also preceded in death by his father, Frank Paul Shuster, Sr.; his mother, Mildred Gima; and his brothers, Don Luther Jones, Jerry Jones, and Michael Roy Shuster.

Frank dedicated many years of his life to his career as a machinist at Leggett and Platt. His work ethic was unrivaled, and he took immense pride in his craft. In his personal life, Frank had a deep appreciation for the past. He enjoyed antiquing with his wife, Angie, and took great pride in restoring their Victorian home. His passion for preservation extended to vintage radios, which he loved working on with his father-in-law, Ron. These hobbies allowed Frank to connect with history in a tangible way, and he derived great joy from restoring these pieces to their former glory.

Frank's spiritual life was an important part of his journey. He was a long-time attendee of the Carthage Nazarene Church, where he formed many lasting friendships. After moving to Olympia, Washington to be closer to his family, he found a new spiritual home at the Calvary Chapel. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life, providing comfort and purpose.

Services are pending and will be announced by the Knell Mortuary.
