Shirley Kinney

Shirley Jean Kinney, 88, of Goodman, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Oklahoma.

She was born Carlsbad, New Mexico to the late Raymond Alex and Iva Dell (Northcutt) Stone. She married the love of her life, Wayland Kinney in 1954 and to this union three children were born. 








She was a homemaker to her loving family; but was very proud to work as a private investigator with her cousin, Peggy. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing the guitar and singing in church. 

Her greatest passion and enjoyment was traveling, always talked about how she had been to Jamaica three times. Shirley attended the Mountain Movers Church in Grove, Oklahoma. She was a very well-rounded person, who dearly loved family and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Wayland Kinney and a brother, Raymond LeRoy Stone.








Shirley is survived by her three children, Bruce Kinney and wife, Angela of Goodman, Missouri, Forest Lee Kinney and wife, Janet of Marietta, Texas, Levetta Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Perry Bruce Kinney, Jr., Krystal Lynn Spoonemore, Ricky Wayne Kinney, Cameron Dailey, Montana Cooper, Destiny Clawson, Dusty Kinney, Christopher Kinney, Matthew Kinney, Mik Devereaux (Kinney), Brandon Benge, Wayland Kinney, Rebecca Kinney and Kathryn Herring; great grandchildren, Michael Kinney, Maverick Kinney, Jenny Kinney, Trystinn Johnson, Cole Johnson, Landon Kinney, Hadley Kinney, Nedia Farnlof, Aiden Farnlof, Serenity Herring, Jenson Herring, Noah Kinney, Jaxson Lowe and Emery Cooper, who will be born in January. Along with a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Shirley.

Memorial service for Shirley will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband in the McCrury Cemetery, just outside of Bogota, Texas.
