Teresa Thorpe

Teresa Marie Thorpe departed this life on November 1, 2023, at the age of 55. She was born on January 26, 1968, in Modesto, California, to Tommy Swaffar and Mary Howerton. 

Teresa relocated to Missouri, where she excelled academically and graduated from Pierce City High School. She established herself as a successful realtor, possessing a delightful sense of humor, at times a bit sarcastic, yet always with the aim of bringing laughter and joy to those around her. She had a big heart, especially toward her cherished dogs and other animals. 

Teresa was a devoted mother and dedicated her life to raising her three daughters: Megan Swaffar and her husband Ryan, Carrissa Sparks, and Jordan Thorpe. Her greatest joys were found in her role as a grandmother to her ten grandchildren: Paetyn, Journee, Brynlee, Audra, Mya, Jaxyn, Stone, Lennon, Skylar, and Liv. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Howerton, and husband Hank, as well as her four siblings: Janet, Shelly, Nathan, and Stephen. 

Teresa was preceded in death by her father.

The family will be receiving friends in honor of Teresa on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 1-2 PM at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Memories. Contributions can be made in memory of Teresa to Faithful Friends at 11281 E. Highway 86, Neosho, MO 64850.

Teresa's warm and lively spirit will forever be cherished and deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
