(From Daniel Funeral Home)Wilma Maxine Pennell, age 86, of Lamar, Missouri passed away November 7, 2023, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood, Missouri.
Wilma was born August 31, 1937 in Dudenville, Missouri to Alfred Leroy Pennell and Lena Enola (Parrish) Pennell.
Wilma was a homemaker and took immense pride in caring for her family. She loved sewing, quilting and crocheting. She played the role of "Momma Hen" to all of her nieces and nephews.
Wilma was also an active member of the Newport Baptist Church where she served as a youth Sunday school teacher and piano player for many years. She was an avid reader and loved Zane Grey books.
Survivors include one brother, Lonnie Pennell, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Loyd Pennell, Roy Pennell, Louis Pennell, Nick Pennell, Luther Pennell and Leonard Pennell; four sisters, Viola Blackford, Rosie Kaderly, Mary Harris and Edith Ann Pennell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2023 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Round Prairie Cemetery in Milford, Missouri.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Gideon's International or Round Prairie Cemetery in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
