Darrell Stout

Darrell Eugene Stout, 72 years, of Lanagan, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side, putting up a valiant fight against cancer.

Darrell was born on January 10, 1946 in Anderson, Missouri, son of the late Charles and Myrl Jean (Stephens) Stout. He volunteered his service and was proud to serve his country for six years in the United States Army stationed in the Panama Canal and Alaska, serving in Korea and Vietnam.

 He married Rosa Lee Williams on August 18, 1991 in Noel, Missouri. Noel, Missouri. Darrell worked in restaurants; did yard maintenance for the Wichita Falls, Texas School District. He worked in custodial department in the hatchery at Tyson Foods from 1993 until April 2012, retiring to care for his ailing wife. Darrell really enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosa Lee Stout; grandparents, Charlie E. and Evangeline Stout, Homer and Dora (Mahurin) Stephens; a brother, Homer Edward Stout; his daughter, Ingrid Marie Joseph; granddaughter, Susan Ingrid Stout; nieces, Evangeline Myrl Martin and Melinda Sue Morris Stribling.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Tammy Read of Springfield, Missouri; granddaughters, Cassandra E. Read of Springfield, Missouri and Cathleen J. Wilson of Independence, Missouri; great granddaughter, Leana J. Wilson of Independence, Missouri; brother, Bob Stout and wife, Kathy of Sparta, Missouri; two sisters, Carolyn Davidson of Anderson, Missouri, Linda Martin of Colcord, Oklahoma; five nieces and five nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Darrell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Reverend Bob Holloway will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Noel Cemetery in Noel, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at this time.
