Jimmy Ray Erskin, 65, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Jimmy was born October 3, 1953 in Carthage to Roy and Ruth “Wilbur” Erskin. Jimmy was an avid fisherman, deer hunter, knife collector and coin collector.
Jimmy was united in marriage to Kathy “Crahan” on October 14, 1977 in Carthage; she survives.
Jimmy is also survived by two sons, Roy Erskin and Claude Erskin; three daughters, Crissy Smith and husband Sam, Beth Erskin and husband Patrick, and Miranda Wells; one stepdaughter, Jamie Crahan; three brothers, Roeland, Leonard and Richard Erskin; two sisters, Wanda Martin and Judy Kay Erskin; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roy and Virgil Erskin.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Reeds Cemetery.
