Wayne E. Dunn, age 74, Carl Junction passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at his home.
He was born May 31, 1944 to the late Robert Thomas Dunn and Betty Jane Stripling Dunn Young.
Wayne worked for Pennington/ Amerisource Drug Company for over thirty-eight years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, helping with the farmers market, baking and spending time with his family.
Wayne married Joyce Ann Ellis on March 8, 1963 in Joplin. She survives at the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Dunn, Sarcoxie, Missouri, and Steven Dunn and wife, Teena, Joplin; two daughters, Sheila Holman and husband, Ken, Sachse, Texas, Lori Peck and husband, Tim, Sarcoxie; three grandsons, Robert Baker and wife, Jaimie, Carl Junction, Bill Baker, Joplin, Colton Dunn, Sarcoxie; two granddaughters, Brittany Baker, Carl Junction, Christine Daniels and husband, Michael, Joplin; three brothers, Tom Dunn and wife, DeeDee, Houston, Missouri, Melvin Young, Joplin, Carl Young, Galena, Kansas; two sisters, Robyn Harlen and husband, Bob, Yuba City, California, Melissa Dunn, Houston, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Alex, Quenton and Ava Baker, Ethan Daniels, Kayson Neely; special friends, Don and Jolene Kanable, Joe and Carrole Palmer; and many friends, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, E.R. and Thelma Dunn; maternal grandparents, Marion and Hester Stripling; two brothers, Marion Young, William Paul Dunn; and one sister, Sheila Boydston and husband, Bill
Memorial services are planned for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Journey Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bill and Virginia Leffen Center for Autism and left in care of the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary
