Luella Belle Driskel, 84, formerly of Sheldon, MO passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Truman Healthcare and Rehab in Lamar, MO. Luella was born September 25, 1934 in rural Sheldon, MO to George H. and Sylvia I. (Hoover) Ford.
She was united in marriage to Darce Driskel on July 13, 1954 in Kenoma, MO and he preceded her in death.
Luella grew up outside of Sheldon graduated from Sheldon High School. Throughout her life she worked in various places as a skilled laborer. Luella loved living on the family farm with her husband, where they raised their family. She lived in Barton and Vernon Counties all of her life. Luella enjoyed crocheting, and loved being a part of her family’s lives.

Survivors include one daughter Phyllis E. Hagerman (Ralph) , Lockwood, MO; one son, Clinton D. Driskel (Julie), Sheldon, MO; five grandchildren, Michael Hagerman (Robyn), Ozark, MO, Jeremy Hagerman (Becki), Tahlequah, OK, Lyddia Gilmore (Steve), Carl Junction, MO, Clinton Driskel, Jr., Bronaugh, MO, Darcey Mize (Chris) Liberal, MO; one brother, Walter Ford (Mary), Sheldon, MO; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. In addition to her husband Darce, she was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Kent Garfield officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, MO. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
