Tonya Bailey

Tonya Marie (Wilderbuer) Bailey, age 42, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away early morning on Sunday, September 1, 2019. Tonya, daughter of Dan and Connie (Latch) Wilderbuer, was born on August 29, 1977, in Mason City, Iowa. She was a 1995 Cassville High School graduate and attended Missouri Southern.

On June 23, 2001, Tonya married her high school sweetheart, John Bailey; together they have two children Devin and Layla.

In 2009, Tonya joined the Freedom Bank family in Willard, and later relocated to the Cassville branch. Additionally, she and John have owned and operated the Lazy Eagle Resort since 2014. Tonya loved drawing, baking, traveling, but mostly spending time with her family. She lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face. Tonya was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.








Survivors include her husband, John Bailey, of Eagle Rock; her son Devin Bailey and her daughter Layla Bailey, both of the home; her father, Dan Wilderbuer and his significant other Sue Beagle, of Cassville; one sister Erica Hilburn and her husband Greg, of Exeter; two brothers, Deric Wilderbuer, of Exeter and Cody Wilderbuer and his wife Megan, of Cassville; her grandmother, Dorann Hanson, of Cassville; her father and mother in-law, Mike and Cherry Bailey, of Cassville; sister in-law, Randi Gideon and her husband Brian, of St. Charles; eight nieces and nephews, Brandt, Dominic, Bryson, Corey, Jordan, Jakobey, Shea and Brooklyn; and a host of several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tonya was preceded in death by her mother Connie Wilderbuer on September 23, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Cassville, with Pastor James Weaver officiating; burial to follow at Munsey Cemetery in Eagle Rock.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5th at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the children’s education fund set up at Freedom Bank in Cassville and can be entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
