Barbara Edens

Barbara Ann Edens, Neosho, entered into rest on January 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 86. Barbara was born July 13, 1936, in Carthage, Missouri, one of five children to Carl and Rachael (Cooper) Tatum. 

She was a homemaker and always kept an immaculate house. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara was a member of Silver Moon Full Gospel Church. 

On October 29, 1953, in Granby, Missouri, Barbara and Stanley Edens were united in marriage; Stanley preceded her in death on April 20, 2022. 

Barbara is survived by one daughter, Tammy Howland, and husband, Larry of Neosho; two grandchildren, Jeremy Howland and his wife, Michelle, and Tonya McKee and her husband, Ryan; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Jaxson Harrell, and Parker and Chase Howland and daughter-in-law, Terri Lynn Edens of Joplin.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Edens and Michael Edens, and four brothers, Bill, Bob, Dick, and Kenny Tatum.
