(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Janet Trickett, age 49 of Galena, passed away at 10:35 PM on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Mercy Hospital of Joplin, MO following an illness.
Janet was born in Joplin on February 5, 1973 to Troy Ray Miller and Marilyn Hope (Owens) Miller. She graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1991, and later attended Crowder College where she received an Associates Degree in Business.
She had lived in Granite City, IL, as well as various towns throughout the four-states including Galena, and Baxter Springs, KS, and Joplin, MO. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and boxing, and played pool as a member of the UPA Pool Club in Tulsa, OK.
Survived by her fiancé, Reyes Gonzalez, Jr. of Galena; brother Allen (wife, Hattie) Miller of Galena; brother Franklin (fiancé, Traci) Miller of Baxter Springs, KS; Raymond Miller of St. Louis, MO; Amanda Cool of Galena; two children, Kambrea Trickett (fiancé, Dale Oliver) of Parsons, KS, Akimma Ferguson (husband, Michael) of Harrisonville, MO; five grandchildren, Ryken, Hayden, Hunter, Waylon, and Serenity; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marilyn Pickel; and two nephews, Christopher Pickel and Jacob Curry.
Ms. Trickett has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2022 at Spring Grove Church, 1819 S. Main St, Galena, KS. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
