(From McQueen Funeral Home)Jerry Hubert Forrester, age 82, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born September 25, 1940 in Lawrence County, Missouri the son of Milford and Bessie (Noe) Forrester.
On September 7, 1962 in Cassville, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sandra Timmons, who preceded him in death on March 11, 2002.
On September 11, 2002 in Simco, Missouri he was united in marriage to Delores June Poe, who preceded him in death on July 21, 2022. Also preceding him in death were his parents; an infant daughter, Elizabeth; one brother, James Barrett and two sisters, Imogene Burrow and Annabelle Carsten.
Surviving are two daughters Jayna Sewell and her husband Mark of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Michele Gaither of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; one sister, Kathy Jaroszewski and her husband Travis of Sargent, Texas and two grandchildren, Jerry Tyler and his wife Lori of Seligman, Missouri and Jaylee Hoffman of Rocky Comfort, Missouri.
Jerry attended high school in Point Lookout, Missouri graduating from School of the Ozarks. After graduating he joined the United States Navy. Jerry lived in the Washburn, Missouri area most of his life before moving to the Wheaton, Missouri area in 1994. Over the years he was a draftsman, rural postal carrier for Rocky Comfort and Washburn, Missouri and farmer, raising hogs and growing crops. Jerry enjoyed baking pies, playing guitar and riding cutting horses. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheaton.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Wheaton, Missouri under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Brother Kenneth Carney will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Wheaton.
Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Wheaton in memory of Jerry.
