(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Franklin Dee Heiskell, 91, of Lockwood, Missouri, entered into heavenly rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his home. He was born July 1, 1932 in Lockwood, Missouri, the son of Harold Winn and Oma Viola (Coble) Heiskell. He graduated from Lockwood High School in 1951. From 1952 to 1956 he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Frank Knox.
On July 21, 1956 he married Frances Burt, his wife for 67 years until her passing September 7, 2023.
In 1967 they moved from Carthage to their farm in the Lockwood area and raised 4 children (Sherry, Mike, Tracy, and Leslie). He was well-known in the community for raising watermelons and cantaloupe for many years.
In addition to farming, he served as a member of the Lockwood School Board and was also an elected Dade County commissioner for 13 years. He enjoyed sports and had a love of fishing that he was able to enjoy with his brothers, son, and grandsons. He enjoyed spending time with his 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was also a deacon and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Frank is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Eric Hathway, Pleasant View, Tennessee; son, Mike Heiskell, Lockwood; daughter, Tracy Reagan, Oronogo; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Morgan Stringfield, Aiken, South Carolina; ten grandchildren: Jennifer (John) Kincer, Joshua (Angela) Harrell, Kelly (Tyler Dunn) Heiskell, Ryan (Elizabeth) Heiskell, Cole (Mallory) Heiskell, Nathan (Anna) Reagan, Zachery Reagan, Logan (Emily) Stringfield, Olivia Stringfield, and Luke Stringfield; eleven great grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law Paul and Helen Heiskell, Neosho.
He is preceded in death by his wife Frances (Burt), three brothers, Vernon Heiskell, Eldon Heiskell, and Norman Heiskell; and three sisters, Betty Woods, Mary Orrell, and Doris Daniels.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday November 11, 2023, at the Greenfield Funeral Chapel, 61 N. Allison, Greenfield, Missouri 65661.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday November 11, 2023, at Lockwood Cemetery, County Rd. 142, Lockwood, Missouri 65682.
