(From Clark Funeral Home)Jack New Cook, age 87, of Stark City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025. He was born on August 1, 1937, in Carthage, Missouri, to Ray and Bessie (Schultz) Cook.
Jack proudly served in the United States Army. After his service, he pursued a career in radio and television. Later, he and his wife, Marilyn Janine Fry, who survives him, owned and operated their own trucking company. Jack was also a private fixed-wing and helicopter pilot, a skill he took great pride in.
After retirement, Jack remained active in his community, spending many years working with the city councils of Stark City and Newtonia. His contributions to the local community were deeply valued, and he was known for his unwavering commitment to making his hometown a better place.
Jack and Janine shared a life full of love and laughter, and together they created a home filled with cherished memories.
Jack is also survived by his daughters, Jackie Kemp and Patricia (Jim) Cox; his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Majeski, Brandi Majeski, Chase Kemp, and Tyler (Jackie) Kemp; and his precious great-grandchildren, Lee, Sophie, Anna, and Maya. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Larry Cook and Donald Cook.
Jack’s legacy will live on through his family, friends, and the many lives he touched with his warmth, generosity, and laughter. His unwavering love for his family and his ability to always lend a helping hand will be deeply missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held on March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Wanda Methodist Church in Stark City, Missouri.
