(From Clark Funeral Home)Larry Eugene Dickson was born on July 28, 1947, in Southwest City, Missouri, the son of James Terry and Viola Mae (Scantlin) Dickson. He entered into rest on Sept. 28, 2026, at his home in Neosho, at the age of 79.
Larry was a lifelong area resident and in 1975, began Dickson Towing and Salvage Yard. He enjoyed playing board games with his neighbor, Doug Hall and friends at the Log Cabin and going to morning coffee at McDonald’s with the Liars Club.
On January 2, 1970, Larry and Linda Land were united in marriage at Vinita, Oklahoma and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two children, Stacy Hartje and husband, Jimmy of Webb City, Missouri and Jeff Dickson and wife, Amy of Neosho, Missouri, eight grandchildren, who lovingly called him Papa, Nathan, Justin and Bradley Vandergriff, Cody and Chris Dickson, Zach Hartje, Jamie Torres and Megan Parman; twelve great grandchildren and one sister, Juanita Reardon.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, James Terry Dickson, II and sister, Carolyn Sue Dickson.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at 2 pm at the Log Cabin, 19314 Hwy 59, Neosho, MO.
