Sally Martin

Sarah Ann “Sally” Martin, age 74, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, departed this life on September 27, 2026, at Innisfree Health and Rehab in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born on November 30, 1951, at the former Jane Chinn Hospital in Webb City, Missouri, one of four children born to the union of the late William Andrew “Bill” and Dixie Jewell (Lambeth) Bacon.

Sally was raised in Jasper, Missouri, and was a 1969 graduate of Carl Junction High School. On September 27, 1975, she was united in marriage to Ralph David Martin, and together they shared forty-five years of marriage before his passing on March 1, 2021. Their life together took them to the Monte Ne area near Rogers, Arkansas, before they later made their home in Pea Ridge, Arkansas in 2005.

Throughout her life, Sally worked as a waitress at various area restaurants.

Sally enjoyed sewing, fishing, camping, boating, and collecting arrowheads. These interests reflected her appreciation for both creativity and the outdoors, and she found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful time spent with those she loved.

She is survived by one brother, Jerry Bacon and wife, Patsy, of Joplin, Missouri; a sister, Patricia Ryan of New Hampton, Missouri; five nieces, Stacey Gilbert and husband, David, Diana Goodwin and husband, BJ, Kimberly McWilliams and husband, Sean, Crystal Francis and husband, Adam, and Michele Rutledge and husband, Steven; a nephew, Andrew Bacon; and ten great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Martin on March 1, 2021; her parents, Bill and Dixie Bacon; and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Rose Bacon.

Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Oronogo, Missouri, with Mike Wilkins officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Andrew Bacon, David Gilbert, BJ Goodwin, Sean McWilliams, Mason Gilbert and Brody McWilliams. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning at Knell Mortuary in Carthage, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Knell Mortuary in Carthage, Missouri.
