Barbara Fieker

Mrs. Barbara Lee (Tuttle) Fieker, passed away on Sunday evening, June 23, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, after several months of declining heath.

Barbara entered this life on October 17, 1930 in Avilla, Missouri to the union of the late Paul Edmund and Madge Allene (Fagg) Tuttle. She was a 1948 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. On March 25, 1950 she was united in marriage to Nolan Fieker, together they shared fifty years until his passing on February 9, 2001. For several years Barbara was employed with Gilbert H. Wild in Sarcoxie, as well as teaching at Cave Spring School. She was a member of Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Sarcoxie. She taught Bible School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was a devoted worker with the Community Outreach in Sarcoxie. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, bowling, gardening, baking and was also an avid reader. Recently she and her loving cat, Sophie, moved into the little Stone Cottage where her Mother once lived. She will certainly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Nolan Fieker.








Barbara is survived by her children, Roxanna Turner and husband, Gary, of Sarcoxie, Missouri and Dale Fieker and wife, Toni of Guthrie, Oklahoma; sister, Janey Bruyer and husband, Doug of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; grandchildren, Brian Fieker and wife, Amber, Kristen Mansfield and husband, Adam and Brad Fieker, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephew; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fieker are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Sarcoxie with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. Internment will follow in Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Dale Fieker, Brian Fieker, Brad Fieker, Luke Fieker, Adam Mansfield and Colton Pfitzner. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Turner, Dick Fagg, Bob Agan, Steve Lewis, Lyndol Craig and Cole Cummins. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has requested memorial contributions be directed to Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in care of the funeral home.
