Joyce Hutchins

Joyce Ethel Hutchins, 82, of Monett, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, while at her daughter’s home in Monett. She was comforted with family at her side.

Joyce was born on December 28, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Frederick “Fritz” Schulz and Mildred (Spangenberger) Schulz. Joyce was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, taking care of her flowers, taking trips to Branson and spending time with family and friends.

On June 1, 1957 in Denton, MD, Joyce Schulz and Thomas Alva Hutchins were united in marriage. They were blessed with over sixty years of marriage until his passing on October 31, 2017. Joyce was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Dutton.








Survivors include her three sons, David Hutchins and wife Karen, of Springfield, IL, Eric Hutchins, of Fayetteville, AR and Michael Hutchins and wife Stacy, of Neosho, MO; two daughters, Shelly Johnson and husband Kenny, of Neosho, MO and Joyce Allred and husband Gail, of Monett, MO; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Norman Brown and wife Bonnie, of Baltimore, MD, Henry Larry Young and wife Leann, of Glen Rock, PA and Dale Thomas Young, of Baltimore, MD; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Kings Prairie Cemetery, southeast of Monett. Pastor Richard Pickett will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Children’s Miracle Network in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
