Bonnie Belle Day of Miami, OK passed from this life Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. She was 95.
Bonnie was born February 4, 1924 in Boatman, OK to Monroe and Theodora (Walker) Grigg. She had lived in Miami for the past 45 years moving from Pryor, OK. Bonnie graduated from Salina High School in Salina, OK where she was basketball player. She owned and operated Jeannie’s Fashions in Miami, OK for 52 Years. She attended First Baptist Church in Miami, OK. She was an antique collector and loved gardening.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Howard Day, her parents, 3 brothers, Bert Grigg, Earl Grigg and Ray Grigg and 4 sisters, Essie Meador, Artie Thornton, Virgie Craig and Ora Bewley.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Day and wife Janet of Loma Linda, MO, her daughter, Jeannie Mackey of Miami, OK, 1 sister Retta Crawford of Pryor, OK, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at First Baptist Church Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Rick Longcrier will officiate. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery in Pryor, OK. Grandsons, Brent Newcomb, Tommy Newcomb, Jacob Kay, Justin Kay and Joshua Day will serve as pallbearers.
