Beverly Sue Garrison, age 67, Joplin, passed away at 1:44 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital after an illness.
Beverly was born August 29, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Jim Cooper and Lola Gibson Cooper and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
A homemaker, Beverly was a long time and faithful member of Spring City Church of Christ, where she was active with the Clothes Closet Ministry and the Ladies Day's Luncheons. Beverly was always one to remember birthdays and anniversaries of relatives and friends. Beverly was a faithful, Godly woman who loved her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Beverly married Roy Garrison on October 26, 1973 in Joplin. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include her children, James Garrison, Joplin, Carrie Udock and husband, Jeff, Webb City, Joey Garrison and wife, Kandice, Joplin; one sister, Linda Smith, Wichita, Kansas; one granddaughter, Olivia; Jeremy Cooper, whom she thought of as a son; and many other extended family members and friends.
Services are planned for Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Joplin Church of Christ. Rev. Richard Chambers will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Garrison, Joey Garrison, Jeremy Cooper, Jeff Udock and John Barnett. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
