Carl Eugene Boyd, 52, Neosho, MO passed away June 9, 2019. He was born January 6, 1967 in Carthage, MO to Calvin and Rita (Hibdon) Boyd.
Carl worked as a Deputy Assessor for Newton County; he called himself “the Tax Man”. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Neosho; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, riding motorcycles, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Carl married Connie Sims on July 16, 2016 in Neosho, MO; she survives of the home.
He is also survived by his parents, Calvin and Rita Boyd of Neosho; two children, Nina Crawford and husband, Cameron of Neosho and Marc Gillespie of Springfield, MO; two step-children, Nicholas Linton and wife, Lacie of Anderson, MO and Megan Linton of Neosho; two sisters, Kayla Boyd of Joplin and Lisa Henry and husband, Steve of Springfield; two nieces, Emily and Leah Henry of Springfield; and ten grandchildren, Zoey, Cloe, Callen, Avery, Konnor, Kameryn, Kaisen, Shelby, Summer, and Nicholas.
Carl was preceded in death by one niece, Ashley Nicole Muskrat.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church, Neosho, MO on Friday, June 14, 2019, beginning at 2:00 pm. Dr. Todd Decker will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to either The American Diabetes Association or The National Kidney Foundation, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
