Doris Faye Walters, 80, Joplin, MO, passed into eternal rest June 16, 2019 at her home in Joplin after a long illness.
Doris Faye Hood was born March 12, 1939 in Oak Grove, MO the daughter of Virgil and Bertha (Collings) Hood. Doris was a 1957 graduate of Neosho High School. Doris formerly worked as a secretary for several companies in Kansas City until retiring in 2003. She was a Christian and attended Leawood Church of Christ.
Survivors include her nieces, Linda Johnson, Joplin, MO, Debbie Weston, Joplin, MO Cindy Mayberry, Seneca, MO and Kathy Bennett, Seneca, MO and a host of extended family.
Viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the funeral home.
Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, June 19, 2019 at the Stones Cemetery, Joplin, MO with Ron Lankford officiating. Pallbearers will be, Grady Weston, Tom Mayberry, Mark Bennett, Justin Weston, Jake Mayberry, Cody Bennett.
