Bob Zwisler

(From Parker Mortuary)

Robert Ray 'Bob' Zwisler passed away June 7, 2019.

Bob was born August 16, 1931 to the late Albertine Backley Zwisler and Ray Zwisler in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine.

Bob met Shirley Ann Funk in high school in Kansas City. They were married January 2, 1951 and had two children, Vicky Efird and Ron Zwisler, both of Joplin.

One of Bob's greatest joys in life was spending time with his two children from the time they were tiny tots. Later, hunting, fishing, junking, card games or whatever, as long as they were doing things together.

Living in the country at Limberlost since 1978, where Bob and Shirley built their home, has been very special to him.

Bob worked at the social security office in Kansas City for several years. He began his career at Kraft Foods Company at the age of 24 and retired at the age of 61 in 1992. He was account supervisor who won many awards, including 'Merchandiser of the Year', for the Southwest division. The award he was most proud of was Kraft's' highest honor, 'The Jade Merit Award', given to only 2 percent of Kraft employees worldwide.

Through his sales ability with Kraft Foods, Bob won two separate trips to Hawaii for he and Shirley.

Bob was president of Allied Foods Club and a member of Racine Christian Church, where he was a Hill Topper leader for several years. Since retiring, Bob has had fun scouting the area for treasures for his booth at the antique mall.
