Frank Royce

Franklin R. Royce of Anderson, Mo passed away on June 9th, 2019 from complications from a stroke.

Frank was born on November 4, 1933 in Anderson, MO to the late Eugene Mose and Inez (Bloodough) Royce. He grew up in Anderson, working in the strawberry fields in the summer times, helping in his mom’s restaurant on Main Street in Anderson during the rest of the year and enjoying the creeks and the outdoors in between. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1951. After graduation, he moved to California and shortly after was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served overseas in Japan during the Korean War, then came back to the states after his 4 years of service. He moved to Michigan where he started his insurance career selling life insurance for American National Insurance. In the early 80’s he moved back to his hometown of Anderson, Missouri and started the Farmers Insurance agency in town. After selling insurance there for nearly 14 years, he decided to retire and sell real estate. Frank made many people’s dreams come true by selling them their dream home.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Lance and Dave, and three sisters Mary, Lee, and Dixie.








He is survived by his son Jeff Royce, wife Sherrie and their two sons Jeffrey and Garrett of Kimball, Michigan, and daughter Julie (Royce) Schutten, husband Ken and their son Griffin and daughter Janie of Anderson, Missouri.

Frank will always be remembered for his sense of humor. He could always put others at ease with his smiles and jokes. He always was making others feel special. He loved people and he loved life.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. John Beck and Ken Schutten officiating. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Jeffrey Royce, Garrett Royce, Pat Tinsley, Shannon Brewer, Greg Beckner and Lonnie Stetina. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to Faithfull Friends c/o the funeral home.
