Forest Emile Ducommun, age 75 of Neosho, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his home. Forest was born October 5, 1943 in Cherokee, Iowa, the eldest son of the late Clair Ducommun and Marjory Ware Ducommun of Peterson, Iowa.
He graduated from Sioux Valley High School in 1961, and served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 in Germany.
On August 1, 1969 he married Janet Florine in Sutherland, Iowa. From 1974 to 1984, Forest and Janet lived and farmed in Knob Noster, Missouri before moving to Neosho, Missouri in 1984. In addition to raising his family, Forest worked as a farmer, mechanic, maintenance technician, sawmill owner, sanitation company owner, and as a jack-of-all-trades in between. There was very little he couldn't fix. Fiercely independent, he was happiest as an entrepreneur running his own schedule in many of these ventures. He was an avid gardener and looked forward to spring and summer every year, gifting many friends and neighbors with his prized home-grown tomatoes and fresh eggs.
Forest was preceded in death by his father Clair; mother Marjory; sister Ann; brother Ronnie; his wife Janet; and daughter Ronni.
