Laura Muriel Wooldridge-Archibald, age 92, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. Muriel Bryant was born April 4, 1927 in Carthage, Missouri to the late Charles Bryant and Hazel (Palmer) Bryant. She was a 1945 graduate of Sarcoxie High School.
Muriel married William M. Wooldridge, Jr., to this union five children were born; he preceded her in death on May 25, 1964. She later married Erwin Archibald; he preceded her in death on March 1, 2000. She was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, William “Bill” Wooldridge (wife Debbie), Carthage, and David Wooldridge (wife Kelly), Independence, Missouri; one daughter, Vickie Daugherty, Carthage; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Dale Wooldridge and Jack Wooldridge; one brother, Leroy Bryant; two sisters, Helen Reynolds and Bernice Hoskins; and two grandchildren, Michael and Brian Wooldridge.
Visitation will be held 6-7 pm, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Memorial graveside services will be held 10 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. Memorial gifts are suggested to Avalon Hospice in care of Knell Mortuary. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
