Joan Lela 'Joanie' Kerr, age 64, Neosho, passed away at 8:31 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
Joanie was born February 7, 1955 in Panama to the late Arthur Bornn and Irene Russell Bornn and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.
Joanie worked as a waitress, housekeeper and most recently as a CNA for Oxford Home Health. Joanie loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
She married William Kerr in Victoria, Texas. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include her children, Christina Gallegos, Paul Angerstein; step children, Shaun Witt, Travis Kerr; siblings, Kitty Srubar, Emma Bornn, Gloria Bornn, Tommy Bornn, Joe Bornn; and grandchildren, Jesse, Kirstin and Joey.
In addition to her parents, Joanie was preceded in death by siblings, Arthur Bornn, Jr., Roy Bornn and Geraldine Bornn.
Services are planned for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Alan McCamey will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday following the services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
