Helen Joan Adams, age 88, of Neosho, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. Adams, daughter of the late Galen Vert Bellman and Florance Cathryn (Osborn) Pilkenton, was born on September 27, 1930 in Joplin. She attended and graduated from Joplin Memorial High School.
On February 7, 1948 she was united in marriage to Robert Adams in Neosho. Robert preceded her in death on October 26, 2005. She was of the Christian faith and a devoted Christian woman. She relished in reading her bible and praying diligently for her family.
Survivors include two sons, William Richard Adams, of Summersville, SC, and Stephen Wayne Adams, of Neosho; three daughters, Vicki Allen, and her husband, Sidney, of Neosho, Kathy Chambers, of Neosho, and Deborah Smiles, and her husband, Dennis, of Neosho; two brothers, Donald Bellman, of Joplin, and Richard Bellman, of Spokane, WA; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin with burial to follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 11th until service time. Memorial donations may be made to the family and entrusted to the mortuary.
