Lavetta (Pauline) Owens, 83, of Marionville, formerly of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed way Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.
Pauline was born on January 27, 1934 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to the union of the late John and Esther (Agan) Sanders. She was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. On April 23, 1952 she was united in marriage to Joe Hilton Owens, in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Together they shared sixty-three years until his passing on May 29, 2015. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. Pauline enjoyed sewing and cooking large family dinners, as well as spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Marionville, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Joye Owens, son, John David Owens; brother, Kenneth Sanders and his wife Charletta.
Pauline is survived by her children; Judy Reber and husband Dale, of Wentworth, Missouri, Jayne Mahan and husband Mike, of Marionville, Janae Wittenmyer and husband Tony, of Seneca and Jeff Owens and wife Crystal, of Carthage, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; Uncle Bob Agan and wife Betty of Sarcoxie, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services for Mrs. Owens are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Glen Foster officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Missouri.
