Ada M. Todd, 75, Avilla, MO, passed away Saturday morning, December 23, 2017, at her home. Ada Mae Maggard was born August 2, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to the late Oliver Maggard and Marietta (Pennington) Maggard. Ada worked as a machine operator for Big Smith for 25 years. She married Doyle Todd on September 5, 1969 in Carthage, MO; he preceded her in death on June 24, 2017. She attended the Avilla Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Foiles (husband Jerry), Avilla, MO, and Angela Allen (husband Philip), Lamar, MO; one son, Mike Todd (wife Johnda), Avilla, MO; one brother, Harold Maggard (wife Patty), Reeds, MO; four sisters, Dorothy Crow (husband Dale), Springdale, AR, Wilma Duke, Carthage, MO, Loretta Weeks (husband James), Prairie Grove, AR, and Ina Eldreth (husband Blane), Winter, AR; fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Colby Todd, and one niece, Gaylen Lemmons.
Visitation will be held 12:00 - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Avilla Baptist Church, Avilla, MO. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 pm. Minister Lance Green will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Avilla Cemetery, Avilla, MO. Memorial gifts are suggested to Avilla Baptist Church in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut, Carthage, MO 64836.
