Patsy A. King, 81, Carthage, MO, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 7, 2017 at her home. Patsy Ann Widner was born July 3, 1936 in Siloam Springs, AR to the late Roy Widner and Velma (Presley) Widner. She graduated from Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, MO, Class of 1954. Patsy worked as a drug and alcohol therapist and was a member of the Carthage Nazarene Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Newman (husband Jason), Carthage, MO and Marti Wiechman, Amhurst, MA; one son, James Dean (wife Diana), St. Joseph, MO; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, J.D. Widner.

Visitation will be held 3-4 pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Carthage Nazarene Church. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4 pm. Rev. Dustin Ledford will officiate. Graveside services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Park Cemetery, Carthage.
