Larry Ray Wead was born March 22, 1957 in Neosho, the son of Raymond O. and Veda L. Wead. He entered into rest on December 11, 2017 at his home, following a sudden illness at the age of 60.
Larry was a lifelong area resident and had worked as a welder and as a mechanic at the Edgewood and Flower Box Bowling Alley in Neosho. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, loved the Cardinals baseball team and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by three children, Johnathon Wead and wife, Paula of Goodman; Stephanie Lantz and husband, Sean of Neosho and Jennifer Murray and husband, Brian of Neosho; his mother, Veda Wead of Neosho; one brother, Rick Wead and wife, Jennie of Joplin; two sisters, Karen Stark of Neosho and Sherry Palmer and husband, Alan of Carl Junction; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond.
Visitation services will be Friday evening, Dec. 15, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
