Sandra Kay Payton, age 68 of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away Monday December 18, 2017 following a short illness.
She was born July 28, 1949 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Clarence and Daisy (Owens) Adams.
Sandra worked in the clothing manufacturing industry for many years as well as being a representative for Fuller Brush and Avon for 20 years. She had lived in the Carl Junction, Missouri area for 48 years. She was a Baptist.
She married Kenneth Payton on February 14, 1969 and he survives. She is also survived by one sister, Sharon Adams, Joplin, Missouri and one brother, Clarence Allen Adams, numerous brothers and sisters in-laws, as well as several nieces and nephews, and her “Furry Kids”.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Lambeth officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests contributions in Sandra’s memory to MDA and they may be sent in care of the funeral home.
