Jo Ann McCreedy, age 82, Duenweg, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Freeman West Hospital.
Jo Ann was born June 17, 1935 in Springfield, Missouri, daughter of the late John Stafford and Viola Sloan Stafford. She worked for many years at Missouri Southern State College in food service before retiring.
In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Doug McCreedy, who passed away September 4, 2016; and a son, R.D. Simmons who passed away on March 24, 2014.
Survivors include her children, Terry Philliber and wife Beverly of Noel, Missouri, Mike Dale and wife Lorri of Duenweg; daughters, Vickie DeGraff of Chicago, Illinois, and Diane Reynolds and husband Steve of Joplin; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel. Private interment will be in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary following the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital, or the Joplin Humane Society.
