Carl “Randy” Smart, age 57, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Wednesday December 20, 2017 following a sudden illness.
He was born November 7, 1960 in Carthage, Missouri to Carl and Sharon (Shupp) Smart.
Randy worked in the construction and lawn care. He was an extreme bicyclist, riding his bike everywhere for thousands of miles. Randy was a history buff and enjoyed the great outdoors. His grandkids where a large part of his life and he enjoyed being involved with them.
He is survived by two sons, Justin Charles Smart, Randy Wayne Smart Jr; one daughter, Jennifer Smart; nine grandchildren, Raydin, Ashlynn, Taylor, Bryce, Kaydance, William, Parker, Kollin, and Dominic; one sister, Laura Ford; one brother, Russell Charles Smart, as well as extended family and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Cameron Smart.
Those gentlemen honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are, Justin Smart, Randy Wayne Smart, Raydin Smart, Taylor Atkins, Jake Halvorsen, and Harley Myer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday December 27, 2017 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral with Pastor Morris Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow at the Wild Rose Cemetery Webb City, Missouri. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
