Troy Mondt

Troy Don Mondt, age 50, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Mercy of Joplin after a lengthy illness.

Troy was born April 16, 1967 in Joplin where he graduated from C.C.A. He then served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. He returned to the Joplin area, and worked as a carpet installer until his illness caused him to retire. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, and enjoyed taking care of his lawn and landscape. He was also known to come up with a wide variety of "inventions" that were very useful. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Conner Lown Mondt; children, T.J. Mondt, Taylor Mustain both of Joplin, and Kasie Lown of Webb City; mother, Carol Friend and husband Ernest of Joplin; sisters, Shannon Thieman, Heidi Bealer, and Tiffany Terwilliger all of Joplin; cousin Tammy and Aunt Linda of Arizona; and his mother and father in law, Thomas and Nellie Ann Mustain of Carthage, Missouri, and Aunt Bea and Uncle Jimmy Flynn of Virginia.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery with T.J. Mondt, Jonathon Brock, Josh Brock, Matthew Brock, Branden Brock, and Benjamin Brock serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
