William Frederick Kraft age 91 of Carl Junction passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
He was born on July 25, 1926 in Cairo, Illinois to William Kraft and Florence (Roth) Kraft. Fred owned and ran a service station for many years, and was a United States Army veteran serving in World War II, and was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Joplin.
He married Rosalind Kraft on July 23, 1950 in Malden, Missouri and she preceded him in death on June 6, 2015. Fred is survived by his son, Frederick “Rick” Kraft and his wife Nancy of Leawood, Kansas; daughter, Lisa Wilcox and husband Bruce of Joplin; grandchildren, Michael Kraft, Whitney Haynie and husband Sam, Aaron Wilcox and wife Cindy, and David Wilcox; along with 3 great grandchildren.
The family will have a memorial service on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the South Joplin Christian Church located on the corner of 19th street and Pearl with Colleen Carroll officiating. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Crosslines Food Bank in his memory.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
