Joe D. Fullerton, 84, passed away December 6, 2017 at his home in Carthage. Joe was born July 27, 1933 in Carthage, Missouri to Paul Fullerton and Clara “Ralston” Fullerton.
Joe was a longtime resident of Jasper County. He retired from W.R. Grace as a lead canteen operator and was a member of Bethel Methodist Church, South of Carthage. Joe was also the resident handyman at the Carthage Over Sixties Center, as well as the president and sexton of Fullerton Cemetery.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley “Fullerton” Campbell.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fullerton Cemetery, South of Carthage.
Contributions may be made to Carthage Over Sixties Center or Bethel Methodist Church in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
