Joan Ruth Owens was born January 21, 1939 in Seneca, Missouri, the daughter of Joe and Ruth (Cox) Rumetsch. She entered into rest on December 19, 2017 in Neosho, at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 28 days.
She was a lifelong area resident, a homemaker, collecting roosters and love the color red. Joan married Clifford Owens and he preceded her in death in 1999. Joan is survived by four children, Dorothy Potter and husband, Rick of Noel; Sam Owens and wife, Petra of Joplin; Herb Owens and wife, Debbie of Diamond and Rose Grazier aand husband, Dean of Neosho; one brother, Richard Rumetsch; one sister, Ruby Durbin of Neosho; sister in law, Vera Johnston; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
