James Francis Hickey was born Aug. 3, 1948, in Cincinnatus, New York, to parents James and Anna Hickey. He grew up in Williamstown New York, married Peggy and later moved to New Mexico before settling in the Southwest City, Missouri area.
He was a lifelong hunter, trapper and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Peggy Jane Britton Hickey.
He is survived by his sons, Rick Buske and wife, Leanna, of Eucha, Oklahoma, Brian Buske and wife, Jill, of Southwest City, Missouri; daughter Debra Kier of Coldspring, Texas; sisters, Erma Herron of Bayard Iowa, Roxanne Fidler of Camden, New York and Mary Hickey of Central Square, New York; grandchildren, James Dylan, Hanna, Wyatt, Anthony, Robert, James Francis, Felicia, Briar, Kennedy, Hunter, Zakkary, and Alixandria; and great grandchildren, Alexis, Chad, Kole and Kase and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
