Jordan Cantrell

Jordan Nichole Cantrell, 28, of Lamar, MO, passed away on November 24th, 2017 in El Dorado Springs, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Saturday, Dec 2nd, 2017 at Church of God Holiness with the Pastors Joe Trussell and Brent Bland officiating. Burial will follow at El Dorado Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sheldon Funeral Home.

Jordan Nichole Cantrell was born in El Dorado Springs, MO to Charles and Tina Cantrell on July 14th, 1989. She went to preschool and kindergarten at El Dorado Springs Christian School. She attended El Dorado Springs Public School from 1st grade until she graduated high school. Upon graduation, Jordan attended Missouri Southern State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, her dream job. She spent the next five and a half years teaching and impacting the lives of first graders whom she lovingly called her firsties at Lamar East Primary School. Jordan knew at the young age of eight years old that she wanted to be a teacher. She knew her calling and wanted to be a light for Christ in the classroom. One word that would describe Jordan would be “warrior.” She was a warrior for Jesus. Her goal was to live her life in such a way that everyone would see Jesus in her and come to know Him.

Jordan is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dwayne Cantrell.

Jordan is survived by her parents, Charles and Tina (Hamilton) Cantrell; her brother Tyler Cantrell and fiancé Bre McCracken; maternal grandparents, Sam Hamilton and Diana Hamilton; paternal grandparents Steve and Glenda Thomas; aunts and uncles, Tonya and Mitch Bush and Tasha and Gabe Wilson; cousins, Bailey and Cody Janes, Erin and Blake Rhone, Rachel Bush, Tailor Hutsell, Kaden Hutsell, and Kylie Hutsell; a nephew, Mitchum Janes and a niece, Cara Janes; and many family, friends, and firsties.

Pallbearers will be Cody Janes, Blake Rhone, Corey Ketchum, Michael Thomason, Cody Simpson, and Nick Carter.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations go to Simmons Bank to the Jordan Nichole Cantrell Elementary Education Scholarship Fund. Scholarships will be awarded to seniors from El Dorado Springs High School and Lamar High school who plan to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.
